Consignor Feature: Erin

We're showcasing another of our wonderful selectively chosen consignors here at Grandiflora! We love and appreciate all the hard work they put into the one-of-a-kind pieces they bring to the store. Let's meet Erin!

How did you get started?
My first project was wooden arrows.  Painted, stained, chalkboard, reclaimed wood, big, small, you name it!  I had my eye out for décor for my home and stumbled across this idea.  Instead of making just one, I decided to make a few.  From there I was shopping in Grandiflora one day and decided to take a chance to see if they had any interest in selling my arrows.  When they said yes, it was that moment that my craft was born.  What started with arrows has quickly given way to variety of products consisting mostly of wood, paint, yarn & feathers.

Why do you do what you do?
I have always enjoyed design, from the fundamental outline of a home to the details that make it a home.  As a stay at home mom, it is very important to me that my house feels like a home.  All of the pieces I create now, not only contribute to my home but are also a part of others’ homes as well.  I love being able to be part of that creative process.  And some of my favorite projects have been custom pieces that are personal and meaningful to their recipient.  I do what I do above all else, because I truly enjoy it, and it provides me a way to give to others.

What do you like about consigning at Grandiflora?
I love the artistic outlet that Grandiflora gives me for all of my ideas.  I am constantly experimenting and brainstorming new concepts, and in the past two years that I have been consigning at Grandiflora, they have been open and excited about my new ideas.  The owners and staff are wonderful to work with.  I appreciate their attention to detail in styling and what is trending, making it an ideal place to showcase my work.

Erin will be featured in our garden tent on Saturday, June 4th. Come stop by after the Farmers Day Parade to see her talented work!
